How the book, Meditation - The Cure Worked for Me
I have always believed that answers lie within us — we only need the right guidance to reach them. One such guiding light in my life has been the book Meditation - The Cure by Naveen Varshneya. It has not just helped me professionally as a counselor and psychotherapist, but also on a deeply personal level.
I’ve read this book multiple times over the years. Each time, it feels like the words take on a new meaning, as if they’re speaking directly to the current phase of my life. But there was one particular experience I want to share — one that reaffirmed my faith in the process of self-healing and the power of inner work.
The Challenge:
When the Body Speaks Loudly
A few months ago, I started facing intense health issues related to menopause. What began as mild discomfort soon turned into uncontrollable bleeding. It was not the usual hormonal imbalance. It felt as though my body was screaming to be heard. I knew something deeper was going on.
Despite my strong belief in the mind-body connection, I didn’t ignore the physical symptoms. I sought medical help. The doctor prescribed pills, but added a serious warning — “If this doesn’t stop, we’ll have to consider removing the uterus.”
That one sentence hit me hard. I came home with the medicines in hand but a heavy heart. I sat in silence, reflecting. Somewhere deep inside, I knew — there had to be another way. This was not just a physical issue. My body was trying to show me something.

Returning to the Inner Medicine
That night, instead of letting fear take over, I turned to the book that had helped me so many times before — Meditation: The Cure. I didn’t know what I was looking for exactly, but I trusted the book would lead me there.
As I flipped through the familiar pages, something drew me to page 129. The sentence stood out like a glowing sign:
“Need is the mother of all beliefs.”
I had read this line before. But this time, it hit differently. It felt personal. Relevant. Urgent.
Meeting My Needs with Honesty
I took a deep breath and began writing down all the needs I was holding — especially those related to this health issue. I asked myself:
The list was long. Some needs were obvious — the need to be healthy, to feel supported, to rest. But some were buried deeper — the need to be acknowledged, to stay relevant, to feel emotionally secure. Needs I hadn’t admitted even to myself.
Once I identified them, I followed the book’s instructions to let go of these needs — not by denying them, but by understanding their roots and releasing the beliefs that kept them alive.
It was not a ritual or a mechanical exercise. It was a sincere dialogue with myself, a conscious decision to drop expectations that no longer served me.
The Shift: Healing Through Surrender
What happened next was not magical — it was natural. Gradually, the bleeding reduced. My energy returned. My haemoglobin levels began to stabilize. The pills helped, yes — but I know in my heart, the real shift came from within.
Because this was not the first time the book had helped me heal. Every time I’ve sincerely applied its teachings, something within me aligns. The noise quiets. The storm settles.
I wasn’t surprised this time either. The moment I addressed the emotional root, my body responded. It’s as if it was waiting for me to listen — not just to the pain, but to the Need underneath it.

A Book That Is Much More Than a Book
There are many books on meditation, healing, and spirituality.
But Meditation - The Cure is more than that. It’s a mirror. A method. A medicine.
It doesn’t offer just philosophy. It offers clarity and practical tools to bring about actual shifts in your consciousness — and consequently, in your health, your relationships, and your life.
What I especially appreciate is how it connects science and spirituality. As a counselor and psychotherapist, I understand the psychological depth of trauma, beliefs, suppressed emotions, and cellular memory. This book speaks to all of it — not in jargon, but in language that goes straight to the heart.

Gratitude from the Heart

I’m sharing this experience not as a miracle story, but as a testimony to what’s possible when we stop looking outward and start looking inward. The answers are always there — waiting for us to sit down, slow down, and tune in.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Naveen Sir for this life-changing gift. The book may look like ink on paper — but to me, it is a living presence. A friend, a teacher, a reminder that I am not a victim of my body or my circumstances.
Healing is not a one-time event. It is a journey of coming home to yourself. And in that journey, this book is my compass.
If you're going through something right now — physical, emotional, or spiritual — I invite you to pick up Meditation: The Cure. Not just to read it, but to live it.
You might just find what you weren’t even aware you were seeking.
With love and trust in the process,
